/&gt;兩岸人員諜報攻防縮手，情蒐重擔轉而落在透過科技偵蒐的國防部電展室和國安局科技中心身上。據透露，電展室內部有一個神秘的破碼部門，共分五個小組，人人都是解密高手，任務就是專門破解共軍的電波密碼；因為經驗老到，破碼速度從過去需要數天半個月，到現在共軍早上換碼、下午就可能被我方這批高手破解。&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;猶如諜報電影情節，國軍內部真的也有人每天以破解一堆怪數字為樂，這群被電展室內部同樣視為「怪咖」的人物，多半是從國內大學理工科系秘密招募而來，彼此生活都很封閉，通常不問世事，人生只以破解密碼為最大樂趣。&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;內部官員說，這批破碼專家本身就天賦異稟，但與其他人的互動不多，電展室的主官要經常陪他們聊天，才能知道這些天才在想什麼。&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;知情人士透露，共軍南京和廣州軍區所使用的無線電波密碼，通常是在每年七、八月間更換，這是經我方長時間累積下來的經驗，過去共軍一更換密碼，我方就很頭痛，不過現在因為有經驗累積和電腦輔助，破碼時間已經可以算是神速。&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;相關人士說，只要在空中的電波，電展室都有能力攔截並解密，如果是走衛星或較複雜的資料鏈路，通常就必須傳送到國安局科技中心，透過他們的超級電腦進行解密。不過國安局任務偏重國際情報，電展室則以共軍情報為主，科技中心也有類似一批人專責破碼解密。&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;美國軍情官員指出，伊拉克好戰份子透過網路價僅二十五．九五美元（台幣八百三十九元）的現成軟體，就能攔截美國「掠奪者」無人偵察機回傳的即時影像，很可能藉此獲得美軍任務情報。美軍擔心，巴基斯坦、葉門與索馬利亞的敵對勢力，也可能利用該技術攔截影像。&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;華爾街日報十七日引述美國高階國防與情報官員的話表示，靠伊朗撐腰的伊拉克什葉派叛軍，利用諸如俄羅斯軟體公司推出的下載工具SkyGrabber等軟體程式，加上無人偵察機若干通訊網路未受嚴密保護，得以定期抓取此一遙控飛機回傳的影像。&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;駐伊美軍去年底抓到一名什葉派戰士，發現他的筆記型電腦包含無人偵察機的回傳影像，才發現有此問題。今年七月，美軍在其他好戰份子的筆電上也發現遭盜取的回傳影像，促使官員認定伊朗訓練的好戰團體正定期攔截回傳資料。&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;美國官員表示，沒有證據顯示伊拉克好戰份子能夠掌控無人偵察機或者干擾它們的飛行。儘管如此，這些截聽行動可能使得特定任務無法發揮奇襲效果，而且讓叛軍更容易研判美軍正監視哪些道路與建築物。這也顯示，美國的敵人透過簡單的電腦網路戰，就可以抵銷美國的高科技軍事優勢。&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br S-Tools&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;S-Tools is a steganography tool that hides files in BMP, GIF, and WAV files. You open up a copy of S-Tools and drag pictures and sounds across to it. To hide files you just drag them over open sound/picture windows. You can hide multiple files in one sound/picture and your data is compressed before being encrypted then hidden. Multi-threaded operation means that you can have many hide/reveal operations going simultaneously without fear of them interferring with you or holding up your work. You can even close the original picture/sound with no ill effects to ongoing threads. /&gt;又有新病毒模式，而且藏身在電腦系統中的資源回收桶，巧妙躲過檢查。掃毒軟體公司諾頓近日發現，一種「W32.Pilleuz」蠕蟲病毒，以此方式避開掃毒，並進而存取電腦檔案或攻擊電腦，呼籲電腦使用者經常更新病毒定義檔，備份檔案及掃毒，以免電腦受損。&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;該公司指出，電腦使用者一般很少注意到電腦系統的資源回收桶內的檔案內容。這次發現的蠕蟲病毒就利用此一特性，隱身於資源回收桶，一旦開啟時，病毒會複製到資源回收桶中，並且命名為「sysdate.exe」檔案，接著新增登錄表，在每次開機時都會自動執行檔案。&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;此一病毒攻擊方式，以後門程式從遠端存取使用者電腦檔案，還可讓病毒自動更新，竊取使用者資料，包括保存在電腦中的密碼，瀏覽器資料等，更會利用使用者電腦發起（Dos）攻擊，以及修改使用者檔案等惡行。&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;W32.Pilleuz 病毒的傳播方式非常多樣，主要的像是透過即時訊息，發送惡意連結給使用者的好友；透過行動儲存裝置；及自身複製到共享軟體的共同目錄，借用共享軟體傳播出去。&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;防毒軟體公司建議，隨時更新病毒定義檔，使用具有「網頁安全功能」的防毒軟體，以避免使用者從惡意網站下載來歷不明的檔案。此外，雖然行動儲存裝置使用便利，但在使用前或下載前，都需先以防毒軟體掃描，確認安全無虞後再打開檔案。&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' /&gt;據了解，研考會技服中心全稱是「國家資通安全技術服務中心」，任務是提升政府對資安事件應變能力，降低可能造成的損害，如協助事前安全防護、事中預警應變、事後復原鑑識等「技術服務」。&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);"&gt;摸清辦公地點 藉觀光情蒐&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;據這位國安官員透露，「技服中心」抓大陸電腦駭客、網路間諜相當有一套。某次，國安局偵測到有政府高層官員的個人電腦傳出不明檔案，前任局長許惠祐親自出面處理，國安單位即請「技服中心」出馬，發現這位政府高層官員的筆電有四個木馬程式，並告知「有兩個是安徽的，一個是福建的，還有一個是台灣內部的」，相當厲害。據了解，入侵政府網路資訊的駭客或間諜，以大陸所占比例最高，技服中心是政府資安應變的把關者，雙方過招多年，所以能辨識哪些木馬程式是安徽的，哪些是福建的。&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;這位官員表示，除了軍方，所有政府文官的資安應變，都是「技服中心」負責，事實上，國安與情治單位的資安，也多半找技服中心協助。&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);"&gt;研考會技服中心 意外曝光&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;這位官員研判，馬中飛是來台進行「觀察情蒐」，以前我軍情局初次派遺約聘人員赴大陸情蒐時，也是這樣做。即先分派一些簡單的任務，或是指定到軍事、敏感單位附近拍照，藉由「觀察情蒐」表現，評估是否正式聘用。&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br A unique combination of anniversaries and events have stirred in us that sense of pride and gratitude that characterise the British experience. Earlier this year, I stood with Presidents Sarkozy and Obama to honour the service and the sacrifice of the heroes who stormed the beaches of Normandy 65 years ago. And just last week, we marked the 70 years which have passed since the British government declared its willingness to take up arms against fascism and declared the outbreak of the Second World War.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So I am both pleased and proud that, thanks to a coalition of computer scientists, historians and LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) activists, we have this year a chance to mark and celebrate another contribution to Britain's fight against the darkness of dictatorship: that of code-breaker Alan Turing.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;img src="http://www.csie.mcu.edu.tw/%7Eyklee/Blog/IHC/Alan%20Turing-01.jpg" /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(255, 255, 0);"&gt;Computer pioneer Alan Turing, who helped crack German Enigma codes during WWII&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Turing was a quite brilliant mathematician, most famous for his work on breaking the German Enigma codes. It is no exaggeration to say that, without his outstanding contribution, the history of the Second World War could have been very different. He truly was one of those individuals we can point to whose unique contribution helped to turn the tide of war. The debt of gratitude he is owed makes it all the more horrifying, therefore, that he was treated so inhumanely.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In 1952, he was convicted of "gross indecency" – in effect, tried for being gay. His sentence – and he was faced with the miserable choice of this or prison – was chemical castration by a series of injections of female hormones. He took his own life just two years later.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Thousands of people have come together to demand justice for Alan Turing and recognition of the appalling way he was treated. While Turing was dealt with under the law of the time, and we can't put the clock back, his treatment was of course utterly unfair, and I am pleased to have the chance to say how deeply sorry I and we all are for what happened to him. Alan and the many thousands of other gay men who were convicted, as he was convicted, under homophobic laws, were treated terribly. Over the years, millions more lived in fear in conviction. I am proud that those days are gone and that in the past 12 years this Government has done so much to make life fairer and more equal for our LGBT community. This recognition of Alan's status as one of Britain's most famous victims of homophobia is another step towards equality, and long overdue.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;But even more than that, Alan deserves recognition for his contribution to humankind. For those of us born after 1945, into a Europe which is united, democratic and at peace, it is hard to imagine that our continent was once the theatre of mankind's darkest hour. It is difficult to believe that in living memory, people could become so consumed by hate – by anti-Semitism, by homophobia, by xenophobia and other murderous prejudices – that the gas chambers and crematoria became a piece of the European landscape as surely as the galleries and universities and concert halls which had marked out the European civilisation for hundreds of years.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It is thanks to men and women who were totally committed to fighting fascism, people like Alan Turing, that the horrors of the Holocaust and of total war are part of Europe's history and not Europe's present. So on behalf of the British government, and all those who live freely thanks to Alan's work, I am very proud to say: we're sorry. Fridrich&lt;/a&gt; 論文 &lt;a target="blank" href="http://www.ws.binghamton.edu/fridrich/Research/pics99.doc"&gt;A New Steganographic Method for Palette Images&lt;/a&gt; 的核心觀念！我們從本篇論文的摘要(abstract)開始討論, 希望讓同學體認到一篇論文的菁華, 其實都在這邊了！&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Abstract&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In this paper, we present a new steganographic technique for embedding messages in palette-based images, such as GIF files. The new technique embeds one message bit into one pixel (its pointer to the palette). The pixels for message embedding are chosen randomly using a&lt;a target="blank" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pseudo-random_number_generator"&gt; pseudo-random number generator&lt;/a&gt; seeded with a &lt;a target="blank" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Key_%28cryptography%29"&gt;secret key&lt;/a&gt;. For each pixel at which one message bit is to be embedded, the palette is searched for closest colors. The closest color with the same parity as the message bit is then used instead of the original color. This has the advantage that both the overall change due to message embedding and the maximal change in colors of pixels is smaller than in methods that perturb the least significant bit of indices to a luminance-sorted palette, such as &lt;a target="blank" href="http://ihc-yklee.blogspot.com/2007/04/week-8-machado-s-method.html"&gt;EZ Stego&lt;/a&gt;. Indeed, numerical experiments indicate that the new technique introduces approximately four times less distortion to the carrier image than EZ Stego. The maximal color change is 45 times smaller for the new technique than that of EZ Stego. Machado 提出了另一種可行的方法, 其嵌入步驟如下：&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;　1. 複製一份調色盤, 依顏色的亮度做排序。使得新調色盤中, 相鄰顏色之間的色彩差異減至最低。&lt;br /&gt;　2. 找出欲嵌入資訊的像素顏色值在新調色盤中的索引值。&lt;br /&gt;　3. 取出一個位元的資訊, 將其嵌入至新索引值的最低位元。&lt;br /&gt;　4. 取出嵌入資訊後的索引值之顏色 RGB 值。&lt;br /&gt;　5. 找出這個 RGB 值在原始調色盤中的索引值。&lt;br /&gt;　6. 將這個像素的索引值改成 &lt;span style="color: rgb(51, 204, 0);"&gt;步驟 5.&lt;/span&gt; 找到的索引值。&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);"&gt;注意&lt;/span&gt;, 這個嵌入的方法並沒有改變原先的調色盤, 而且最後的索引值和原始的索引值之間的差異並不只是 1。然而, 這兩個索引值所代表的顏色在新調色盤中卻是相鄰的顏色, 因此差異不大。當接收者收到影像時, 取出資訊的步驟如下:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;　1. 複製一份調色盤, 並對其顏色根據亮度做排序。&lt;br /&gt;　2. 取出一個像素, 根據索引值在舊調色盤中, 取出其顏色 RGB 值。&lt;br /&gt;　3. 找出這個 RGB 值在新調色盤中的索引值。&lt;br /&gt;　4. 取出這個索引值的 LSB, 即是所要的資訊。&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;R. type='html'>請同學試著撰寫一個模擬將機密訊息嵌入到調色盤類型影像的索引值中, 藉以分析原始掩護影像(cover-images)與偽裝影像(steg0-images)之間的變化。&lt;br /&gt;步驟:&lt;br /&gt;1. 將影像用 Photoshop 存成 GIF 格式, 使影像的色彩總數降成 256 色。&lt;br /&gt;2. 再將影像用 Photoshop 存成 然後將探索結果寫到部落格中, 第三節課則是分享大家的探索結果。&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;S-Tools 可以將訊息嵌入到儲存為 GIF 格式的影像之中。GIF 格式屬於調色盤類型(palette-based format)影像資料。一張高品質的全彩影像其顏色總數與像素總數的比例, 通常至少為1:2。這麼多的顏色要轉換成 GIF 調色盤影像模式, 必須從中選出 256 個代表顏色出來, 採用分群法(clustering) 的技術, 將這些顏色分成不同的 256 群, 然後在每一群估算一個顏色為代表。將這 256 個代表色放到調色盤中, 每個像素的顏色被轉換成調色盤的索引值 (index)。最後, 再針對這些索引值, 使用 LZW 壓縮演算法進行壓縮, 達到影像壓縮的目的。&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style=";font-family:標楷體;font-size:12;"  &gt;&lt;/span&gt;調色盤類型的影像, 機密訊息最早是藏在調色盤本身的色彩值或其次序上, 但受限於所能隱藏的資訊量有限, 因此許多研究者便陸續發展出容量更高, 偽裝影像品質更好的隱藏技術。&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;S-Tools 是最早被開發出來, 針對調色盤類型影像所開發出來的軟體, 最新版本為V4.00。早期的版本採用的嵌入技術非常簡單。首先, 將影像從 256 色降到 32 色, 然後將二元機密訊息嵌入影像中每個像素 R, G, B 三個顏色的最低位元, 所以一個像素可嵌入 3 個位元。由於調色盤中每個色彩的 R, G, B 最低位元可能因為嵌入機密訊息而改變, 因此每個色彩最多會衍生出 8 個相近的色彩, 原本為 32 色的調色盤, 最多將衍生出 256 個色彩總數, 滿足了調色盤類型影像色彩總數不可超過 256的限制。&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;這個方法的缺點就是影像的調色盤被修改的非常不自然, N. Johnson 與 S. Jajodia 發表在 1998 年IHW 的論文中指出, 透過對每張影像的調色盤色彩亮度(luminance) 做簡單的排序分析, 被嵌入機密訊息的影像, 調色盤的色彩會形成 32 個群集, 這是一般自然影像所沒有的特徵。&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;S-Tools 降低影像的顏色總數, 也同時降低了影像品質。為了改善這項缺失, S-Tools 的作者根據 P. P. Petitcolas) discusses the crucial issue of watermark robustness to intentional attacks. The chapter includes a taxonomy of possible attacks against watermarking systems, among them protocol attacks like inversion, oracle attacks, limitations of WWW spiders and system architecture issues.&lt;br /&gt;  * &lt;span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);"&gt;Chapter 8: Fingerprinting&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;(Jong-Hyeon Lee) discusses principles and applications of fingerprinting to the traitor tracing problem, among them statistical fingerprinting, asymmetric fingerprinting and anonymous fingerprinting.&lt;br /&gt;  * &lt;span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);"&gt;Chapter 9: Copyright on the Internet and watermarking&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;(Stanley Lai and Fabrizio Marongiu Buonaiuti) finally discusses watermarking systems from a legal point of view and addresses various other
